In an ongoing series of attempts to discredit conservatives who happen to be black, the Left has stooped to a new low with their attack on CPAC speaker and successful business man Herman Cain. As Ed Morrissey of HotAir pointed out, this comes from AlterNet, a news website priding themselves on “strong content” and “huge readership and reach.”
As you know, I find black garbage pail kids black conservatives fascinating not because of what they believe, but rather because of how they entertain and perform for their White Conservative masters. When race minstrelsy was America’s most popular form of mass entertainment, black actors would often have to pretend to be white men, who then in turn would put on the cork to play the role of the “black” coon, Sambo, or Jumping Jim Crow. Adding insult to injury, in a truly perverse and twisted example of the power of American white supremacy black vaudevillians would often pretend to be white in order to denigrate black people for the pleasures of the white gaze.
Herman Cain–an ironic name if ever, and one more suited to a tragic figure in a Harlem Renaissance era novella–is not “blackening twice” as some race minstrels chose to do.
[...]
Instead, Herman Cain’s shtick is a version of race minstrelsy where he performs “authentic negritude” as wish fulfillment for White Conservative fantasies. Like the fountain at Lourdes, Cain in his designated role as black Conservative mascot, absolves the White racial reactionaries at CPAC of their sins. This is a refined performance that Black Conservatives have perfected over many decades and centuries of practice.
The author “Chauncey DeVega” (who also writes for Salon.com and has apparently been featured in the New York Times goes on further to call Cain a “monkey in the window” and make several other despicable accusations centering around the man’s race. DeVega is a prime example of how the left gifts an exemption to people of color to want to be racist. If a White person made the accusations that DeVega has against Cain, they would instantly be outcasted as a racist — and rightfully so. Given his “official” blackness that qualifies him to determine solely who is worthy of their race of not, he attempts to remove Herman Cain’s right to decide for himself what political ideology makes the most sense.
Unlike alleged Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, conservatives such as Herman Cain, Ward Connerly, Lt. Col. Allen West — and the list goes on — don’t need their race as a crutch for success. Rather, they let the Martin Luther King, Jr. philosophy shine through and rely on the content of their character. Of course, the attacks from the left because of this are endless. Only recently, Justice Clarence Thomas had to deal with threats of lynching from those who didn’t agree with his chosen ideology. Black nationalists on the Left think that any black person who refuses to become a victim to the state and to history is an “Uncle Tom,” or a turncoat of sorts, when they’re the ones turning their backs on reality.
With all the talk of turning down the rhetoric, MSNBC‘s Rachel Maddow invited far-left bomb thrower, Michael Moore onto her program:
Is that a direct quote from Dr. King?
What a great demonstration of the new tone we are all supposed to adhere to. Moore, the maker of Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, the Triumph of the Will, and the autobiographical film Sicko, is a real master of moderation.
Michael Moore’s schlockumentaries are notorious for their ‘creative editing’ and outright lies. Moreover, Moore has made a career of denigrating his country, his ideological opponents, and the economic system that has given him the opportunity to succeed.
The website michaelmoore.com is home to a sad assortment of the unhinged and deranged, including Cindy Sheehan, the founder of Code Pink. In case you’ve forgotten, Code Pink was the activist group that accused members of the Bush administration war criminals. As an aside, do you remember the media being up-in-arms over that type of ‘heated rhetoric?’
After all that background, how about big Mike’s interview? It would appear as though Moore didn’t get the memo on the new tone. Seeing a racist around every corner, Michael Moore claims that the reason people own guns is because they are afraid of poor minorities. Another example of the new tone one is to presume.
Michael Moore is entirely obsessed with race. In the past, Moore has asserted that the National Rifle Association was a successor organization to the KKK.
Michael Moore is no outlier; his thinking is typical of the new Left. After the shooting in Arizona, the media was condemning heated rhetoric, claiming it inspired the shooter. After it was proven that such claims were pure pap, the talking point became that today’s heated rhetoric created an environment of violence. With the Left, and their toadies in the media, so quick to point fingers at the Right, just remember the rehtoric of the Left throughout the Bush years, and to this day.
Minister Jason Kenney says Canada will not attend a UN conference on racism next September because the event will be a “charade” and a “hatefest.”The conference, dubbed “Durban III,” is intended to mark the 10th anniversary of the 2001 meeting in South Africa aimed at defeating racism.
Canada and several other countries walked out of that meeting after Iran and several other countries began ganging up on Israel.
Canada was the first country to withdraw from Durban II last year in Geneva.
Kenney says the UN General Assembly has chosen to “repeat and even augment the mistakes of the past” by holding a commemorative meeting in New York next year.
He says the government has lost faith in the process and Canada “will not lend our good name to this Durban hatefest.”
Kenney says Canada is clearly committed to the fight against racism, but he says the Durban process “commemorates an agenda that actually promotes racism rather than combats it.”
Despite legitimate issues I’ve had with the Conservative Party of Canada’s direction on fiscal issues and domestic policy, one area where Stephen Harper’s administration has never wavered is on pragmatic foreign policy and support for Israel. The latest decision by the government to refuse to acknowledge a special United Nations panel on d**k-all (“ending racism”) and, as such, refuse to take part in it, really shows the fact that they haven’t sold out.
The point is never to blindly defend a particular country, but rather to acknowledge when a country is being unfairly treated as Israel constantly is. The only thing the United Nations has ever done right in the Middle East is giving Israel back to the Jews like it belonged. Since then, the U.N. has been an anti-Semitic global orgy.
The new Alberta movement to stop racism in Edmonton sends a rather unambiguous message on the first step to do so:
So, assuming that I’ve acknowledged this supposed “original sin” that I inherited based solely upon my whiteness, I’m supposed to then preach the gospel of the evils of Whitey from the mountaintops of Alberta. As if.
Interestingly, this movement doesn’t start from a few disgruntled black folks. It isn’t even from a group of self-loathing white folks (okay, it sort of is.) This campaign to end racism actually comes from the provincial government of Alberta, and the Edmonton municipal government.
As Blazing Cat Fur points out, this is tantamount to the accusation of Ontario Human Rights Commissioner Barbara Hall, who claimed that caucasians were inherently guilty of being part of some massive “white hegemony” conspiracy.
Despite the millions of government dollars poured into ending racism — and I apologize if my veil of White privilege is keeping me from getting the whole picture here — I’m not sure that racism is even an issue anymore, save for the racism against White people. By no means am I claiming that I feel oppressed based on race, I will admit that there are a whole bunch more hurdles that caucasians need to jump over in terms of job-hunting, applying to post-secondary education, apartment-hunting, and attempting to do any work with the government that minorities no longer need to worry about, thanks to affirmative action.
Seriously, when was the last time you ran into someone or read about someone who genuinely felt that minorities were lesser individuals than Whites? With the exception of the multicultural pity-party that the Liberal Party of Canada holds to claim the minority vote, racism isn’t the elephant in the room that people refuse to talk about. Racism is the elephant that died 50 years ago that self-loathing White people are still mourning over.
A four-month-old baby is dead and 10 other people are injured in the small town of La Verriere, west of Paris, France after they jumped out of their apartment’s third-storey window after believing to have seen the devil.
“Thirteen people were in an apartment (watching TV) on the second floor when, at around 3 a.m., one of the occupants heard his child crying,” Odile Faivre, the deputy prosecutor in Versailles told Sky News. “The man in question, of African origin, who was completely naked, got up to feed his child, at which point the other occupants took him for the devil.”
The man, 30, was stabbed in the hand and thrown out of the apartment. When he tried to barge back into the flat, the other occupants began jumping out of the window.
Police are questioning the man as well as another occupant who jumped out the window holding a two-year-old girl. The baby died after being admitted to a children’s hospital. It is unclear whether the occupants voluntarily jumped or were forced to.
But don’t worry. You can rest easy:
The Sydney Morning Herald also reports that investigators found no evidence of hallucinogenic substances in the apartment.
My initial thought was thought they had a bootleg copy of Paranormal Activity 2, but alas it was just a demonic naked black man. We’ve all been there.
For years, Rush Limbaugh has rightly called the NAACP the NAALCP – the National Association for the Advancement of LIBERAL Colored People. For at least the last two decades, the NAALCP has shamelessly played the race card in an effort to further the Democratic Party.
The latest example of the NAALCP’s brazen political agenda comes in the form of a report on the Tea Party. The report accuses the Tea Party of being “a still inchoate political movement who are in their numerical majority, angry middle-class white people who believe their country, their nation, has been taken from them.” Furthermore, the the Tea Party is condemned for providing a mouthpiece for “anti-Semites, racists and bigots.”
It is sad and pathetic that the NAALCP has sunk to this depth. However, it is not unexpected. Just weeks before the 2000 presidential election, the NAALCP ran perhaps the most audacious and outrageous political advertisement in history. The commercial was narrated by the daughter of James Byrd, a black man that was dragged behind a pickup truck until he was dead. Byrd’s daughter was used to claim that George Bush not passing ‘hate-crimes’ legislation felt like “my father was killed all over again.” The ad ended with “we wont be dragged away from our future.” The television spot led non-partisan political analyst Mort Kondracke to remark “the NAACP ought to be ashamed of itself.”
So, what evidence does the NAALCP have to backup their new report on the Tea Party? The NAALCP website provides a link to another website, Tea Party Tracker. Tea Party Tracker is allegedly where all the verification of the antisemitism, racism and bigotry of the Tea Party is archived. How convincing is said proof? Well, there is a 13 minute video (Warning: this video contains extreme condescension form some teenage liberal prick) wherein no one makes a single racist comment. Then there is the “eyewitness photos” section. I spent 10 minutes looking though the pictures. There was one Lyndon LaRouche nut with an Obama/Hitler sign and a couple shirts emblazoned with obvious jokes. That’s it. While it may be overboard, if comparing a president to Hitler is racist than a whole lot of Democrats have some ‘splainin to do. What I did see in both the video and the pictures was concerned citizens; ordinary people that see their country being destroyed from within. Evidently, that is what the NAALCP has deemed racist. The Left is incapable of believing that people have actually rejected their failed ideas. The NAALCP represents all liberals in their belief that any opposition to the Democratic Party is racist.
The NAALCP has again demonstrated for everyone what it is really about: advancing the Democratic Party. As we saw in the Journolist emails, when the Left is in a tight spot their default reaction is to cry ‘racist!’ Accusing someone of being a racist is a serious charge. Crying wolf by claiming any and all opposition to liberalism is racism devalues the classification and makes people less sensitive to legitimate cases of racism. If the NAALCP had the slightest shred of integrity they would apologize for their latest report. But they don’t, so don’t expect anything but business as usual from these race-based charlatans.
P.S. Remember, the liberal media cannot wrap their head around the fact that the Tea Party is not in fact a homogeneous group:
47 years ago, Martin Luther King delivered his famous “I have a dream” speech at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Today, on August 28th, Glenn Beck took the stage for a similar reason, to deliver a message to Americans that the country needs to go back to the basics, go back to understanding unity, liberty, and individuality. The event was not political in the least. Despite addresses by prominent conservative figures such as Gov. Sarah Palin, the focus of 828: Restoring Honor was more along the lines of paying tribute to the brave men and women who have fallen in the line of duty, defending freedom. Despite the media’s accusations leading up to and during the event, Beck never once compared himself to Martin Luther King, Jr., with the exception of acknowledging his inferiority to the late civil rights movement leader.
400,000-500,000 people came out to celebrate with Beck. Not far away, Rev. Al Sharpton decided to hold his own rally. Attendance? 3,000. The event kicked off at around 10am this morning and went until 2pm. However, every word said was something that you must hear. Whether you’re Canadian, American, Australian, or Indian, the message of faith, hope, and charity is one that transcends ideological boundaries, and most certainly geographical ones. You can view the full event on the C-SPAN website. It’s worth the investment of time.
