“Biden has a colossal selling job.” That analysis, from Rutgers professor Ross Baker, describes the Vice President’s task of selling the accomplishments of his administration to the voters.
The Vice President explained that “It’s just really hard to convince people that when there weren’t, up until the first of the year, when there weren’t net new jobs it’s awful hard to say, ‘It’s working.’” Well, I guess that depends on what your definition of ‘working’ is. Does Bill Clinton have a dictionary handy?
With the ‘Obama normal’ of 10% unemployment, it is believable that the Biden is having trouble selling the administration’s ‘accomplishments’. To sell the Democrat brand, ‘Scranton Joe’ is touting the specious claim that the stimulus bill has ‘saved or created’ 3.3 million jobs. As if there is a way to accurately measure the number of jobs saved. Going even further down the rabbit hole, the Vice President went so far as to say that if an additional $150 billion of stimulus funds had been approved by Congress more (any?) jobs would have been created. This illogical claim puts Biden in the Paul Krugman school of insanity.
While the administration may complain that explaining their brilliance is “just too hard,” their results speak for themselves. President Obama and his administration have orchestrated one of the greatest economic calamities in American history. Yet they want you to believe that if only they could dig deeper, they could get the country out if this rut.
One is left to wonder how many on the Left actually believe that their policies will help the country. At first glance it looks as though the Democrats plan on destroying the country using the Cloward-Piven strategy. However, recent statements form Paul Krugman and Joe Biden point towards a second option. It may just be that these Leftists are so arrogant that they truly believe that all the examples of statism’s failures throughout recorded history have been a product of poor leadership. Today’s Left could believe that they can supersede human nature, and impose their vision of society. The Left’s belief that they can alter human nature is the fundamental flaw in their ideology and may be the impetus behind their constant advocacy of illogical policies.
In light of Alexandra Gutierrez’ preemptive, and, with the benefit of hindsight, foolish gloating over the predicted misfortunes of Sarah Palin, why not examine the potential nadir that the dynamic duo of Obama and Biden are poised to hit this year?
First, there’s the messi-uh himself, Barack Hussein Obama. The man of hope has spurred the hopes of the GOP, with Illinoisans clamoring for change.
With the shadow of Rod Blagojevich cast over Illinois Democrats, and the popularization of the term ‘Chicago-style politics,’ the Democrats have put forward Alexi Giannoulias to run for Obama’s old seat in the Senate. Giannoulias has quite a colorful history. As a bank executive (at a bank owned by his family) Giannoulias approved over $15 million in loans to mobster, pimp and bookmaker Michael ‘Jaws’ Giorango. Giannoulias,who discussed Giorango’s criminal history with him before approving the loans said, “I don’t know what the charges are that makes him this huge crime figure.” Giannoulias’ family also has deep ties to disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich, and Obama flunky and convicted criminal Tony Rezko. Worst of all, Giannoulias has a long-lasting political friendship/ alliance with Barack Obama.
In spite of Giannoulias’ past, the President is lending his hand in the Illinois Senate race. Despite Obama’s endorsement, and personal appearances, Alexi Giannoulias is trailing GOP challenger Mar Kirk.
Second, there’s Scranton Joe. While the President may claim that “nobody messes with Joe,” Delaware seems to have had enough of Neil Kinnock the infamous plagiarist‘s party. The Vice President’s own son declined to run for his father’s seat, understanding the anti-Democrat tsunami of 2010. In Delaware, Democrat Christopher Coons trails Republican Mike Castle by anywhere from 11% to 29%, with Castle consistently polling around or above 50%.
If the Republicans manage to pick up the Senate seats of both Obama and Biden two years after they were elected, well, that would be a “big f-ing deal,” in the parlance of Joe Biden.
Best. Product. Ever. And yes, by the way, it’s real.

The best explanation for how Democrats see the United States came in 1988 when George H. W. Bush said that Michael Dukakis “sees America as another pleasant country on the U.N. role call somewhere between Albania and Zimbabwe.” Democrats do not understand American Exceptionalism – just ask them. Obama even said “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.” To the democrats, the United States is not a “Shining City on a Hill.” Instead, the United States is just “another pleasant country on the U.N. role call somewhere between Albania and Zimbabwe.” Need more evidence? How about this statement by Vice President Biden (I still cannot believe that I have to write that):
As you probably know, some American politicians and American journalists refer to Washington, DC as the “capital of the free world.” But it seems to me that this great city, which boasts 1,000 years of history and which serves as the capital of Belgium, the home of the European Union, and the headquarters for NATO, this city has its own legitimate claim to that title.
There you have it, crystal clear – the United States isn’t so great. In fact, Belgium is the actual “capital of the free world.” Why, Belgium is the headquarters for an enormous bureaucratic socialist nightmare no one wanted (the European Union), it must be the home of the free world! And who could forget Belgium’s defense of the free world over the last century? It’s not like the United States has expended enormous quantities of blood and treasure to defend the free world, including Belgium in the 20th and 21st centuries. Barack Obama is, as Congresswoman Michele Bachmann said the “first post-American president.” The Democrats do not appreciate the history of the United States – in most cases they disdain it. The Obama kakistocracy hate their own country, and they offer more evidence of this fact every day.
Sometimes you read an article that is so far removed from reality you question whether the writer is living in the same universe as the rest of us. Mark Halperin’s Obama Ahead of Election 2010: The Secrets of His Success in the latest issue of Time is one of those articles. To take this article seriously requires a “willing suspension of disbelief,” as Hillary Clinton would say. Picking up on the Democrat memo going around, Halperin asserts that the secret to Obama’s success has been his vision, and centrist approach. Yes, you read that correctly, Obama’s centrist approach.
First, Halperin praises Obama’s staff selections. Did you know the Obama administration has stayed clear of scandals? I guess if you don’t count tax cheats Tim Geithener, Tom Daschle, Van Jones, Cass Sunstein, Kevin Jennings, Carol Browner, John Holdren, Harold Koh, Dawn Johnson, and Kathleen Sebelius the administration has remained scandal free. Oh yeah, and Halperin thinks that Joe Fucking Biden has done a bang-up job.
Second, Halperin credits Obama with keeping up a positive image. Interesting claim, seeing as the President has had the lowest approval ratings of any president at this point in his presidency.
Third, Obama is hailed for being “deployed with strategic planning and tactical nimbleness.” In reality, Obama has been deployed with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. He is on TV all the time – literally. Not a day goes by without the President giving a speech or holding some sort of rally. He also pops up at EVERY major event.Watch the Superbowl? There was an interview. College basketball finals? He was interviewed. Apparently he will even be on American Idol in the near future. He is literally everywhere.
Fourth, Halperin claims that Obama has “preserved the majesty of the office.” By bowing to every third-world tinpot dictator and apologizing for the country wherever he goes I presume.
Fifth, and last, Halperin commended Obama for all the wonderful legislation he has passed, and all the goodies coming in the future. Yeah, there’s that pesky deficit, but don’t worry, he’ll handle it. No word on how, only mention is that after Republican gains in 2010, Obama will “get it” and “tackle another campaign promise: long-term deficit reduction.” Amazing, the president who passed the porkulus, Obamacare and undermined welfare reform, all in the process of spending more in a projected 8 years than the country spent over the previous 232 years will “get it.”
And who says the media is out of touch with reality?
I shouldn’t be surprised, but I kind of am. When I saw that the Democratic Party was running summer training camps, I was worried that this was going to be another Barney-Frank-meets-Catholic-clergy nightmare; you know, so kids could claim ObamaCare benefits for therapy sessions in a few years. More amusingly, however, it seems that Organizing for America, Obama’s PAC is running indoctrination sessions across America this summer (coming to a rented-out warehouse near you!) Remember those speeches that Hitler and Stalin used to go around Father- and Mother-land doing to tell people all the benefits of their respective governments? Now, I’m not saying that there’s a connection or anything…

Basically, they’ll be like Ron Paul supporters except they’ll be saying something other than “End the Fed” (has the effect of “Hope and Change” worn off yet?)
