Al Gore is Living Large #4

Climate change hypocrite Al Gore has just purchased a new $8,875,000 ocean view villa on 1.5 acres of land in Montecito, California. With this purchase, Al Gore now owns four mansions.

It appears that climate change rhetoric is really profitable.

I would describe the beautiful mansion to you – but I prefer pictures. These great pictures were posted by Doug Ross on his blog. It’s a great site, so check it out!

We’ll start your tour with a view of the entire property from overhead.

Modest, isn’t it? I’m sure that it’s good on energy too.

Now, for our next set of pictures we will look at the house from the ground level.

**Note: In fairness, Al Gore will only ever see this house from the aerial perspective in the above photos. The ground photos have been provided for the rest of us.

As you can see, global warming has its perks if you’re the right person. Just ask Al Gore.

Now, your tour wouldn’t be complete without a look at the interior.

As you can see, this house will suffice as a place to discuss global warming, conservation, and reducing one’s carbon footprint.

Some facts about the house:

  • Six fireplaces
  • Five Bedrooms
  • Nine Bathrooms
  • Includes spa, fountains, and swimming pool

If this doesn’t scream hypocrite, I don’t know what does. If Al Gore really believed in climate change, would he really own four mansions – wouldn’t one be enough? Wouldn’t he lead by example and live simply?

Al Gore is either a giant hypocrite, a liar, or a narcissist.

Actually, he could be all three.

Obama, Political Posturing?

Barack Obama would have you believe that he’s embraced “Drill, Baby, Drill!” as his new campaign slogan. Yesterday he announced “an expansion of offshore oil and gas exploration… in order to sustain economic growth and produce jobs.” Sounds great, right? Well, as is always the case the Marxist deceiver has said one thing and plans on doing the exact opposite. According to research done by the Heritage Foundation, and the House Natural Resources Committee Republicans Obama’s “Drill, Baby, Drill” includes: canceling four lease sales off the Alaska coast – which were set to begin producing oil within the next two years, stalling development of mining off of the Virginia coast, and placing even more potential drilling sites off limits for at least seven more years. In fact, Obama’s  plan places over 13 billion of the known 14 billion barrels of oil and 41.49 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in the Outer Continental Shelf off-limits.

Does this come as a surprise to you? It shouldn’t. This is the same Barack Obama that said “under my plan, of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” Obama’s Energy Secretary said “somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe,” when Europeans were paying $8 per gallon. What Obama is really trying to do is pass his jobs killing, economy destroying, record-setting tax hike enviro-Marxist cap and tax bill using the language of something that the American people actually want. Sarah Palin summarized this Obama deception perfectly:

Behind the rhetoric lie new drilling bans and leasing delays; soon to follow are burdensome new environmental regulations.  Instead of “drill, baby, drill,” the more you look into this the more you realize it’s “stall, baby, stall.”

Global Warming Truth

From Hot Air:

Humans are too stupid to prevent climate change from radically impacting on our lives over the coming decades. This is the stark conclusion of James Lovelock, the globally respected environmental thinker and independent scientist who developed the Gaia theory.

It follows a tumultuous few months in which public opinion on efforts to tackle climate change has been undermined by events such as the climate scientists’ emails leaked from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the failure of the Copenhagen climate summit.

I don’t think we’re yet evolved to the point where we’re clever enough to handle a complex a situation as climate change,” said Lovelock in his first in-depth interview since the theft of the UEA emails last November. “The inertia of humans is so huge that you can’t really do anything meaningful.”

One of the main obstructions to meaningful action is “modern democracy”, he added. “Even the best democracies agree that when a major war approaches, democracy must be put on hold for the time being. I have a feeling that climate change may be an issue as severe as a war. It may be necessary to put democracy on hold for a while.

And there you have it folks. After the health care abomonation passed last week I posted an article in which I provided video and audio of Democrats explaining that the purpose of passing Obamacare was to increase government control over the American people. The hoax of global warming is just another piece in the statist agenda. ‘Global warming’ is being perpetuated by a bunch of anti-American Luddites that want to cut the West down to size. The comments of this ‘scientist’  also serve as a wonderful example of what leftist elites think of regular people – you’re just too stupid to know what’s good for you. George Will had it right when he said “the core of today’s liberalism [is that] the American people are such dopes they can’t be counted upon to buy their own insurance.”

Time to ban dihydroxymonoxide

This just goes to show how gullible people are when they’ve had the environmental agenda forcefed to them by the left.

Thomas Sowell writes:

A woman with a petition went among the crowds attending a state fair, asking people to sign her petition demanding the banning of dihydroxymonoxide. She said it was in our lakes and streams, and now it was in our sweat and urine and tears.

She collected hundreds of signatures to ban dihydroxymonoxide — a fancy chemical name for water. [...] Much of the stupidity we see today is induced by our educational system, from the elementary schools to the universities. In a high-tech age that has seen the creation of artificial intelligence by computers, we are also seeing the creation of artificial stupidity by people who call themselves educators.
