Nice to see Obama is not afraid to tackle the major problems facing the United States. Heaven forbid America offend terrorists by pointing out that they have a certain something in common:
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama’s advisers will remove religious terms such as “Islamic extremism” from the central document outlining the U.S. national security strategy and will use the rewritten document to emphasize that the United States does not view Muslim nations through the lens of terror, counterterrorism officials said.
The change is a significant shift in the National Security Strategy, a document that previously outlined the Bush Doctrine of preventative war and currently states: “The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century.”
The officials described the changes on condition of anonymity because the document still was being written, and the White House would not discuss it. But rewriting the strategy document will be the latest example of Obama putting his stamp on U.S. foreign policy, like his promises to dismantle nuclear weapons and limit the situations in which they can be used.
The revisions are part of a larger effort about which the White House talks openly, one that seeks to change not just how the United States talks to Muslim nations, but also what it talks to them about, from health care and science to business startups and education.
That shift away from terrorism has been building for a year, since Obama went to Cairo, Egypt, and promised a “new beginning” in the relationship between the United States and the Muslim world. The White House believes the previous administration based that relationship entirely on fighting terror and winning the war of ideas.
Good news, al Qaeda is on the march, Iran is nuking up and Barack Obama is afraid of offending them. What exactly was the problem with the Bush policy of “fighting terror and winning the war of ideas”?
In Ronald Reagan’s autobiography he recounts how the Shah of Iran assured his supporters that Jimmy Carter and the United States would come to the rescue and that there was no need to crack-down on the Islamic terrorists lead by Ayatollah Khomeini. The Shah held that despite all his faults, he had been a loyal ally to the United States. We all know how that ended. Sadly, the pathetic Carter administration let the Shah fall. As a direct result of Jimmy Carter’s criminal incompetence, Iran went from being a strategic ally to the world’s foremost enabler of terrorism. 30 years after the Carter debacle America is plagued with an equally incompetent president: Barack Obama.
In a chilling article in The Australian Greg Sheridan details how Obama has accepted the inevitability of a nuclear Iran. Think about what you have just read. General Petraeus recently explained to congress that Iran is training Taliban leaders and is co-operating with al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Iran is developing a missile program to carry nuclear warheads that can already strike Europe. Mahamoud Ahmadinijad, the Hitler of the Middle East, has repeatedly threatened to wipe Israel of the map. He hosts a ‘Holocaust didn’t happen’ conference. He is a fanatic supporter of a splinter death-cult that believes the 12th Imam will be revealed only after the world has descended into widespread chaos. Ahmadinijad went so far as to widen the streets of Tehran in anticipation of the return of the 12 Imam. Taking all of that into account, President Obama has decided that he can accept this country obtaining nuclear weapons.
According to Sheridan, Obama was hell-bent on embarrassing Israel, and specifically Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in order to make it impossible for Israel to act unilaterally in defending herself. From Sheridan’s article:
By so isolating Israel, by irresponsibly unleashing a global wave of anti-Israel sentiment, especially in nations which normally support Israel, Obama has made the possibility of Israel considering unilateral action against Iran much more unlikely. The Israelis would weigh such action very carefully. There are many pluses and minuses. By creating the impression of Israel as a besieged, isolated and reckless nation, which the wildly disproportionate reaction to the East Jerusalem apartments accomplished, Obama has made the potential cost to Israel of action against Iran much greater.
The Obama administration no longer says “all options are on the table.” Instead, Obama touts his “I don’t want to meddle in domestic affairs” line (a courtesy NOT granted to Israel when it came to building in the nation’s capital). Hillary Clinton, the darling of the most recent American Israel Public Affairs Committee, will not mention the military option anymore. Instead, Hillary said “our aim is not incremental sanctions, but sanctions that will bite.” However, the Wall Street Journal reported just a week after Secretary Clinton reassured her faithful that “the U.S. has backed away from pursuing a number of tough measures against Iran in order to win Russian and Chinese support for one more U.N. sanctions resolution.” By the time that support arrives there will be a radioactive crater where Israel once was.
Even if, God willing, Obama is replaced by an adult in 2012, his reckless actions in the international sphere will have long-term repercussions. America’s credibility will be shot. Allies, already weary due to the signs of weakness conveyed by the United States, will see that the country let one of her loyalist and most important allies fall in the fruitless and discredited pursuit of appeasement. In December of 2001 Osama Bin Laden said “when people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature, they will like the strong horse.” Will anyone consider Barack Obama’s America the stronger horse?
Barack Obama is Jimmy Carter’s second term. Carter began the disaster in Iran and now it appears as though Obama is going to finish the job. Democrats cannot be trusted. They throw loyal allies under the bus and appease the enemies of freedom. This is what the United Sates used to say about appeasement when the adults were still in charge:

Hack ‘journalist’ Bob McKeown, of the Communist Broadcasting Corporation (Canadian state operated and financed television) hosts a show called The Fifth Estate. In one episode of this series that I came across McKeown examined the validity of 9/11 conspiracy theories. The conclusions drawn on the show’s website are, shockingly, a whole host of moronic rants laden with conspiracy theory drivel – the type usually confined to opium dens and Democratic Party events. Here is one clip that demonstrates how someone masquerading as a credible journalist can be culpable in helping spread outright lies.
In the video McKeown examines a statement from George W. Bush made 3 months after 9/11. In the clip President Bush says:
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in and I saw an airplane hit the tower…
The segment then cuts back to McKeown who states:
Now wait a minute, George bush was told about the second plane while he was inside the classroom so you just heard him describe seeing the first plane crash on television that day. But that’s impossible, no one saw the first plane crash on TV on September 11 because the video of it did not surface until the next day, so how could George bush have seen what he said he saw?
That one really set off the tinfoil hat crew. This is a perfect example of the hoops ‘truthers’ have to jump through to maintain their idiotic theory. If anyone ever misspeaks truthers are there to claim that they have more proof supporting their flat out stupid ideas. As for Mr. McKeown – here’s a hint you twit: maybe President Bush saw the news coverage of the World Trade Center from immediately after the first plane hit. Perhaps the president meant “I saw that an airplane hit the tower.” Or, maybe, just maybe, President Bush confused seeing the footage that day with all the videos he had seen in the intervening THREE MONTHS, seeing as McKeown picked a 15 second clip from three months after 9/11. McKeown has a well documented anti-American, radical left history on the CBC. He also has a propensity for selectively editing interviews to alter answers and disregard context (see: his Ann Coulter interview). Putting aside McKeown’s unprofessional practices, the larger point here is that Canadians are forced to pay a worthless and obscenely liberal network that produces filth like The Fifth Estate. It is far beyond irresponsible for a purported credible news source to peddle this type of conspiracy nonsense.
Remember all the way back in 2008 when Barack Obama promised ‘no more politics as usual’? Today, the president plans to nuke that promise. President Obama is going to pursue the nuclear option (so derided by Democrats when they were in the minority) on health care (which would require 51 votes in the Senate as opposed to 60). His reasoning? Everyone does it! Guess who Obama is going to blame for this one….. you nailed it! None other than George W. Bush. It’s so nice to be living in the era of hope and change, with the new politics of Obamalot. The man of hope, who was going to end the practice of ‘politics as usual’ is using ‘politics as usual’ as his justification to ram through a bill anywhere between 58% and 52% of Americans do not want.
How else does The One plan on ramming this bill through? If you guessed scare tactics you’re today’s lucky winner. President Obama plans on painting a picture of the world where health care premiums skyrocket and everyone is at the mercy of evil insurance companies, unless his health care plan is nuked through the Senate immediately. Where else have we heard this chicken-little story that if a bill is not passed immediately the sky is going to fall? The o so necessary TARP and Porkulus bills. How have those two gems worked out? Everything is an emergency. Everything needs to be passed NOW! before anyone can read it. If legislation is not passed we’re always supposed to believe that the sky in fact will fall.
The President and his Congress have an ever expanding credibility gap. They make promises they have no intention of keeping and they are trying to enact some of the most unpopular legislation in American history. The American people do not want government-run health care, which is what any Democrat health care bill will lead to. Not now, not ever
