You'd Almost Think There was a Community Organizer in the White House

The post racial presidency continues. Who could forget the “wise Latina” on the Supreme Court? Then there was that “stupid” police officer in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Last year on Strictly Right I wrote about the Department of Justice dropping charges against a Black Panther thug in one of the clearest examples of voter intimidation imaginable. The Bush Justice Department successfully prosecuted the men in that video. They were due to be sentenced – until Eric Holder dropped the charges against them. Maybe it was because the men in the video were such upstanding members of society:

Yeah, great folks there.

In response to Obama’s inJustice Department, former members of the Department’s trial team are speaking out. J. Christian Adams testified before the Civil Rights Commission that “The [voting] section doesn’t want to protect white voters.” DoJ officials have made it clear that they do not want to prosecute cases where ‘traditional minorities’ are the defendants. In fact, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes told DoJ officials that there would be no more cases brought against black defendants where white victims would be vindicated. It doesn’t stop there. Fernandes also made it clear that the DoJ will no longer enforce Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act. Section 8 requires purging voter rolls of ineligible voters, for example dead people, a key Democratic constituency. Fernandes’ explanation? Enforcing Section 8 would not increase voter turnout. Try to comprehend that logic. Voter turnout is negatively effected by not allowing no existent or deceased  people to vote, so we’re not going to enforce the law. Ms. Fernandes may be up for a Joycelyn Elders award. I feel like Captain Renault. I’m just shocked, shocked to learn that Democrats openly engage in, and encourage, voter fraud. I am equally stunned to find out that a man that sat in Jeramiah Wright’s pews for 20 years employs a host of anti-white racists. You know, with the government organizing voter fraud through registration and intimidation, you’d almost think that the current occupant of the Oval office had some experience putting together similar schemes.

Newsflash: Democrats are Stupid

Peggy West is your average Democrat. She is a Milwaukee County Supervisor. Her county, like many in the United States, voted on boycotting Arizona over SB1070, the border enforcement law. In debating the proposed boycott, West made the following point:

If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border.

Where does the Democratic Party find people this stupid? My favorite part of the video is when Jim Rice, who opposes the boycott, said, “I just want to assure my colleague that Arizona is a state that does in fact share a border with Mexico.” West later claimed that she misspoke. I guess “but this is a state (Arizona) that is a ways removed from the border (with Mexico)” can be misinterpreted.

In this story we have yet another example of a Democrat not understanding the situation in Arizona, yet still willing to make a sweeping judgment. Barack Obama, Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano  all could not be bothered reading the 10 page bill from Arizona, yet they felt free to condemn the law. In fact, despite their willful ignorance, the Obama administration has made it clear that they intend to sue Arizona for defending its border. In the above example, Peggy West doesn’t even know where Arizona is, yet she feels fully comfortable voting for a boycott. Maybe she’s angling for a post in the Obama administration – she clearly has the right disposition and the requisite intelligence.

Advice from Eric Holder: Rewrite the constitution

More intelligence from the Obama administration.

In a commencement address to the Columbia University Law School’s graduating class, Attorney General Eric Holder had some “interesting” commentary, saying that it was young people making changes to the constitution that brought about the end of slavery, gave women the right to vote, and several other examples. To “modernize” the legal system is one thing, but now we have a member of the President’s cabinet admitting fault in the constitution. Despite what they may think, the constitution is not a living, breathing document that needs to be changed and interpreted at every turn; it’s an unchanging, supreme law that should be accepted as is. I know what you’re thinking…what I just said is common sense, right? I thought so too.
