Dan Kellar: The tale of Waterloo’s Marxist thug

By now, everyone’s aware of the successful attempt a few weeks back of a group of three “students” at the University of Waterloo who set out to silence author and columnist Christie Blatchford for her “hateful” book, Helpless, documenting the trials and tribulations of land owners and freedom activists in Caledonia over the past years.

In a nutshell, three protesters chained themselves to the podium that Christie was to speak from. The police were called and said that Christie couldn’t go on stage if the protesters were still there, but the school wouldn’t allow the police to remove them. As such, the event was canceled, and the communist thugs won.

Now, we know that the “lead” protester is a PhD student (in environmental studies) at the University of Waterloo…Dan Kellar. Except, not really. Between lying about his student status for sympathy (granted, I think knowing someone’s a grad student actually makes me like them less,) Dan blogs and podcasts.

In a recent podcast, Dan stated that “We are proud to have stopped this racist apologist from further disseminating her lies, and we firmly pledge to be present at the rescheduling of [Christie Blatchford's speaking] event in order to continue our campaign against Christie.” He further pushes forth the idea that she won’t be permitted to speak at other points in the podcast.

Leaked Facebook messages between a reader and Kellar show that he is nothing more than an anarchist who actually opposes the police arresting members of the Black Bloc during the Toronto G20 summit.

Given the length of the exchange, I’ll only be posting select messages. None of this distorts the actual context of what was said: I’m more than happy to send out the full exchange of people are interested.

If what Christie has written could be categorized as Hate Speech, then by all means call the cops and have her charged with violating sections 318-320 of the Criminal Code of Canada.

If it does not meet this definition, then by all means write a paper that rebuts her argument, send letters to various newspapers, have a sit in and bang drums on the front lawn if you must.

i do not support the use of cops, cops are a violent gang of murderers and rapists (when in uniform at least), and they have no place in a civilized society. a prof recently printed a rebuke of christie’s work, in an academic journal, and is now being sued. we take our responsibility to stop racists very importantly and will not wait for the dominant powers to act.

Dan Kellar November 21 at 10:45pm Report

this is what you will not get from your mainstream “journalists” and our racist education system, it keeps people ignorant. it is because of people like christie that people will ignore what the indigenous live through until this day. she has a pulpit to preach from and not a critical voice is allowed to be published in response. she denies history and wraps up racism in national security and breaches of our invalid “law”

you ask for alternatives to capitalism, but you dont recognize it as a working system either. while i cant point you to a working global system of economic governance there are two points to make here:

people from colonial backgrounds have been deciding what is the “best” system for everyone for too long. let us sit back and listen to what the indigenous people tell us will work. if you accept capitalism as a failure then why keep it around? best of the worst is not acceptable. maybe minds that have not been colonized (instructed in dominance), should be the ones that get to make the decisions for a while… we certainly failed at it.

So, there you have it folks. The problem isn’t Christie Blatchford — it’s all a part of the big racist, colonialist conspiracy. Everyone should support Christie, and tell Dan Kellar how you feel.

The Sounds of the Silenced

The official sponsors of the famous Ann Coulter Canadian tour are continuing to promote the cause to bring back free speech to Canada. Now, International Free Press Society – Canada is bringing Connie and Mark Fournier of popular conservative messageboard FreeDominion, victims of censorship by a government agency, to speak about their startling experience with the Canadian Human Rights Commission.

Pastor fired…for saying “Jesus”

A preacher in North Carolina was fired for doing the unthinkable. He mentioned “Jesus.” No, he didn’t use the name of the Lord in vain, he invoked Jesus’ name at a moment that you’d never expect it…at the end of a prayer. Pastor Ron Baity was invited to lead prayer for a week at the North Carolina State House of Representatives this summer, but had to have his prayers pre-approved by the bureaucracy:

Baity’s troubles began during the week of May 31. He said a House clerk asked to see his prayer. The invocation including prayers for our military, state lawmakers and a petition to God asking him to bless North Carolina.”

“When I handed it to the lady, I watched her eyes and they immediately went right to the bottom of the page and the word Jesus,” he told FOX News Radio. “She said ‘We would prefer that you not use the name Jesus. We have some people here that can be offended.’”

When he politely declined to remove the fact that he was praying in Jesus’ name, he was no longer welcome to pray for the elected officials of North Carolina.

Once again, 1st amendment rights apply only to non-Christians and those of no religion at all. Christians are at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to equal rights, and they are the top target for the political correctness gestapo that seems to be running both private and public entities now. Not being able to say “Merry Christmas” in your office is the tip of the iceberg. Now, even your prayers have to be censored.

H/T to Jeremy Sarber for this one.

In Jesus’ name:

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;

Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.

A National Disgrace

I have just arrived back home after attending what was supposed to be Ann Coulter’s second speech on her Canadian tour. As you know by now, the speech had to be canceled due to the threat posed by terrorists outside the event. Chants of “let us in” and “this is our school” were repeated by a group of troglodytes that hadn’t bothered to register in advance. 2,000 of these terrorists, and that is exactly what they are, surrounded the building with sticks and stones, clearly posing a risk to all inside. These reports have not been exaggerated, as I can tell you after navigating my way through a sea of people that smelled as though they were boycotting showers. As a result, all those that had registered in advance, in accordance with the rules, were denied the opportunity to hear Ann speak.

“It’s at the absolute bush league, bottom of the barrel schools that you get the worst treatment and yet and still I’ve never seen this before…I’m guessing the scores to get into the University of Ottawa are not very challenging.” -Ann Coulter

This didn’t happen in the Taliban’s Afghanistan, or in Iran, it wasn’t the Soviet Union or Mao’s China – it was  Canada, at a university no less, the purported home of free speech. Moreover, it was in the nation’s capital. The actions of the University of Ottawa, and specifically those of Vice-President and Provost Francois Houle were shameful. The behavior of the students was an embarrassment. The result was a national disgrace. A Canadian university could not provide a safe location for someone to express a contrary opinion. We have come to a point where conservative speakers need round the clock security if they plan on speaking at institutions of higher education. That in and of itself is a sad reflection of the environment on college campuses.

Ezra Levant announcing the sad news that Ann would not be able to speak.

How does that make Canada look? Canadians ought to be ashamed – and mad as hell for how foolish a small number of emotionally disturbed brats made Canada look on the world stage. The University of Ottawa passed a resolution calling Ann Coulter “hateful,” the administration sent a threatening letter to her before she set foot in Canada, and the student body there would not even permit her the right to speak.

“Since I’ve arrived in Canada, I’ve been denounced on the floor of Parliament — which, by the way, is on my bucket list — my posters have been banned, I’ve been accused of committing a crime in a speech that I have not yet given, I was banned by the student council, so welcome to Canada!” – Ann Coulter

Are Canadians saying that the only type of “free-speech” allowed is speech that conforms to their preconceived notions? What are the chances that even 10% of those idiotic terrorists outside the event tonight have even read anything Ann has written? Tonight demonstrated who the real “hateful” and “intolerant” people were, and Canada is the worse for it following  this pathetic display. Congratulations Ottawa students, you’ve defamed an entire country.

A lost battle may help us win the war

Ann Coulter’s second stop on her cross-Canadian tour was canceled in an eleventh-hour decision by local police. After a rousing speech to a cheering crowd of 800 in London yesterday, Ann was expected to address the University of Ottawa tonight, but ended up getting canceled on account of a directive from the Ottawa police, stating that neither Ann nor event attendees would be safe if this event proceeded. Ezra Levant gave a sincere speech to a supportive, but disappointed crowd — the ones who had arrived at the event early enough to be seated.

University Vice-President and Provost Francois Houle set Ann up for failure when he emailed her last week threatening criminal charges unless she “restrains” herself. And, as Ann herself predicted…that act exposed her to more hatred and violence than anything else in Canada.

The whole point of free speech is that those you disagree with have a platform to speak their minds, and you as a citizen have a right to challenge them. That freedom to challenge ends when violence is thrown into the mix. Ironically, these pathetic leftists claim that Ann Coulter should have been denied the right to speak because she promotes violence. However, there were zero injuries at her presentation in London, and the entire reason her Ottawa appearance was cancelled was because of the violence from the left. Hmm, I’m sensing a bit of hypocrisy here. Anyone else?

This is a lost battle for free speech, and a sad day to be a Canadian. However, to anyone who supported the censorship of Ann Coulter: recognize that the world’s eyes are on Canada right now. And they hate you. This small lost battle may help us win the war now that people know how bad it is. This goes beyond a leftist media bias and shows the extreme of political correctness. Unfortunately, the “necessity” of political correctness has indeed gotten extreme itself.

Pray for Canada tonight, we need it.

A-Houle of the Year

Of course I’m sure you all have seen the news about Francois A-Houle, the Vice-Provost of the University of Ottawa who has threatened criminal charges against Ann Coulter for a speech she hasn’t even given yet! Interestingly enough, his bio describes himself as being an expert in “modern political thought.” I’m not a huge fan of this new age censorship…just sayin’. In keeping in line with the principles of grassroots activism, here is Mr. Houle’s contact information (and photograph) for your enjoyment:
