UPDATE – Jihad: A Love Story

We’ve known for quite some time now that people involved in the arts are the scum of the earth (I used to be an actor — trust me, I know.) This takes it to a new low though.

Shareef Abdelhaleem plotted to make money off a stock market crash that would have followed a terrorist attack in downtown Toronto.

He was jailed for his part in what became known as the Toronto 18 terror plot.

Now he is the basis for the lead character in a new play sure to be controversial for its sympathetic portrayal of a man who was convicted of planning to blow up Bay and Front Sts. with a truck bomb.

The play portrays Abdelhaleem, who was born in Egypt but has lived in Canada since he was 10, as an affable cat lover, who quotes Seinfeld and got caught up in something, almost unwittingly, without fully realizing the consequences.

“I think he’s a guy who showed bad judgment,” Frid says. “I don’t think he’s a terrorist at all.”

So, starting next week, Canada’s terrorist sympathizers (a.k.a. ‘the Left’) will be able to flock to Toronto to see Homegrown, the story of one man who likely was just misguided. Or, in the words of the playwright, happened to “[show] bad judgment.”

Tickets are available from the SummerWorks Theatre festival for only $10 (or the sacrifice of a small virgin goat to some dude named Muhammad.)

UPDATE: As I expected, the SummerWorks Theatre festival was the recipient of $90,000 in Arts & Culture funding from the government this past year.

A few days ago I wrote about Oliver Stone’s Jew hatred. The article attracted a commenter that identified himself as “Canadian Government Policy Analyst.” The man is a walking stereotype of the modern leftist anti-Semite. He holds regular people in contempt and is prone to conspiracy nonsense, as you can see below. The purpose of this post is purely to shame the commenter, who is clearly an elitist liberal Jew hater. The individual remains nameless because he did not have the courage to attach his name to his detestable comments.

If Americans haven’t heard of AIPAC, the ADL, the Jewish Warner Brothers, Fox, etc then they must be retarded. What about the Banking System controlled by Ben “Shalom” Bernanke, Allan Greenspan or Larry Summers.

Oliver Stone is a great director who causes people to think. I know most Conservatives can’t do that because we all know that the Earth is 6000 years old, Jesus was real and Global Warming is a hoax created by Communists. Right?

Stones got balls for being. If most Americans disagree with him on Jew Power than they are deservedly the biggest joke on the planet because every other nation knows that Jews Run the Western World and especially braindead America.

It’s good to see that you’ve kept up with the Protocols. So courageous of you to lash out in an antisemitic rage, then sign your inane drivel with “Canadian Government Policy Analyst.” A true profile in courage…

You sure have a solid point there – AIPAC and the ADL do exist – jackpot! Who could imagine such a devious scheme as a group of like minded people joining together to advocate their perspective?

And the Warner brothers – they were Jewish. They did build a business from the bottom up. Case and point! (one is left to wonder what this case and point are?)

And FOX, etc? That beats me. I guess Rupert Murdoch and Saudi prince al-Waleed bin Talal are secretly Jewish, right? Oh, and the media at large is just in the bag for Israel, right?

Of course, no Jew hater would be complete if he didn’t believe that the Jews control the banking system. In fact, this small cabal actually runs the entire Western World! Yours are the paranoid claims of a very sick individual.

If you believe that Jamaicans run or influence Hollywood significantly or that the Somali lobby, Pakistani lobby or the Irish lobby are as powerful and vicious as the Israel/Jew lobby you are not living in the real world. Get real man!!!

We live in a world where every tough question is covered up with the references to Protocols, “Anti-Semite” or some other junk to shut up and discredit Jew power. You can fool the illiterate, white-trash masses in America maybe, but elsewhere……forget it!

It would appear as though you’ve uncovered an insidious Jewish conspiracy in Hollywood. Time Warner, the publicly traded parent company of Warner Brothers along with General Electric, the publicly traded parent company of Universal, are really in secret Zionist cahoots!

And you’re right – the Jews are the only interest group that exerts pressure on the American government. There are no other lobby groups – that is why lobbyists are in such low supply. I’m sure you also believe that the ‘neo-cons’ are working to advance the Zionist agenda, right? Perhaps when people call you a Jew hater it’s because….. you are one. Or is that also part of the Zionist conspiracy?

The Obama Administration's Answer to Everything: More Government, Less Freedom

Politico is reporting that buried deep inside the the new Wall Street regulation bill is a law that “grants the federal government broad new powers to compel financial firms to hire more women and minorities.”

The government decided that it was ‘good’ for Americans to own their homes. As for people that couldn’t afford a home? The government decided that they would compel banks to loan money to sub-prime lenders, in order to expand the ‘right’ of home-ownership. The end result: the collapse of the housing market, a major catalyst in the financial meltdown of 2008. This is just one of a seemingly infinite possible examples of social engineering by the government backfiring.

In the most recent instance, the Wall Street law states that the federal government has the right to terminate contracts with financial institutions which fail to ensure “fair inclusion” of women and minorities. What constitutes “fair?” That is left up to the discretion of the benevolent big government.

The government creates this same problem over an over again.  They fail to ever think past step 1. Step 1 is always something to the effect of “it sure would be great if everyone could own a home” or “in this modern, industrialized society, everyone deserves publicly funded healthcare.” However, the government never accounts for: how to procure the needed funds, what the effect will be on the housing/medical etc. industries, or other intangibles that are not immediately visible. That is why government orchestrated social engineering is destined to fail every time it is tried. We live in a constantly changing world, and the government cannot adapt fast enough. It was never meant to. In the Wall Street case, it may be a desirable goal to have more women and minorities working in the financial sector, but that should be left to the free market to decide. Finance is an exceptionally competitive field. It is difficult to imagine firms rejecting applicants based on anything other than merit. Unlike the government, these institutions have to turn a profit, otherwise they go out of business. Perhaps unequal representation of different peoples in this, or any other field, reflect a shockingly controversial reality: all people are different. If the National Basketball Association received government money, should it have to pass the “fair inclusion” test? Or should players be judged on ability?

Another consequence, this one obviously intended, of social engineering is the expansion of government, both in terms of physical size, and overall power. The new Wall Street law creates 20 new offices of Women  and Minority Inclusion in the Treasury Department, Federal Reserve, Securities and Exchange Commission and other finance-related agencies. These new offices will not just regulate the much maligned ‘big banks,’ they will have the power to interfere with local, mom-and-pop firms as well. More government, less freedom – Obama’s answer to all problems.

The Obama administration and its toadies in Congress are anti-business. Every day they wage a war on industrious people, painting entrepreneurs as villains. With ever more regulations, they make it nearly impossible to succeed in the United States. In the end, their social engineering will ensure equality in one way: Americans will be equally miserable.

Yep, you read that correctly. A new study released by German researchers as revealed the unthinkable: “Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out.” Now, what sort of exercise benefits one receives from viewing a 15-minute porn movie is a question I’ll leave for President Clinton to answer. However, I can’t help but wonder how the discussion went when this project was getting discussed.

Doctor 1: Hey, my wife won’t let me have porn in the house.
Doctor 2: That really sucks, is there a way around it?
Doctor 1: No. Not unless I wanted to keep it at the lab.
Doctor 2: Good point.
Doctor 1: Wait a minute, I have an idea…

Either way, I’m sure the $20 that the participants in the study likely got paid was worth it. Ah such sacrifices in the name of science.

Persichilli: Pay attention to the bureaucrats

So true.

Most of the time, we in the media focus on the activities of politicians and pay little or no attention the bureaucrats. That might be because an obscure name in the depths of the government bureaucracy doing something wrong doesn’t capture the interest of our readers, or because an elected politician in government offers a better target for the media and opposition.

But whatever the reason, this is wrong because most of the time it’s the bureaucrats who really call the shots on many important decisions, and they definitely have the power to shape most of the decisions made by governments at all levels. We always scrutinize and expose the activities of politicians and appointed officeholders, but I believe that often we are barking up the wrong tree.

Oliver Stone: Jews Control the Media and the Holocaust was Overrated

Oliver Stone has made a living denigrating the United States. Stone’s movies are what Michael Moore would make if he had finished film school. In the world of Oliver Stone, America is always the bad guy. In Wall Street the villain was the free market. Platoon showed that America was no good in Vietnam. JFK was a conspiracy theory in which the highest elements of the United States government killed a beloved president. Stone’s latest flop is a hagiography about Hugo Chavez. Simply put, the man does not like his country.

In an interview this weekend with the Sunday Times, Oliver Stone opined on a number of topics, ranging from Iran and Israel to World War II and Hitler. Here are some choice excerpts from the article:

on Iran:

[Stone] describes America’s attitude to Iran as “horrible”. “Iran isn’t necessarily the good guy” – his incongruously dark eyebrows shoot up – “but we don’t know the full story!”

On his forthcoming 10-part documentary on WWII:

The 10-part documentary [which Stone is planning] will address Stalin and Hitler “in context”, he says. “Hitler was a Frankenstein but there was also a Dr Frankenstein. German industrialists, the Americans and the British. He had a lot of support.”

On the Holocaust/Israel/Jews:

He also seeks to put his [Hitler's] atrocities in proportion: “Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people, 25 or 30m.”

Why such a focus on the Holocaust then? “The Jewish domination of the media,” he says. “There’s a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f***** up United States foreign policy for years.”

There you have the warped thinking of a very confused man.

The Left, in both film and academia, have made a concerted effort to denigrate the Allies’ heroic effort in World War II. While to most people it is still evident that the Axis powers were pure, unadulterated evil, and the Allies were the force of freedom in the War, the Left is trying to rewrite that narrative. They claim that segregated forces made the Allies the moral equivalent on the Nazis. According to the Left, the Allies holding colonies was on the same level as Nazi plans for world domination. They equate the living conditions of those in Allied colonies with those of persecuted peoples under the Nazis. The Left can never accept that The United States is the greatest force for good in world history. They have to find a way to ‘prove’ that the United States is really just as bad or worse than the true antagonist in any conflict. It takes quite a stretch to claim that the United States was responsible for Hitler, and that there is more to Hitler than the raving, genocidal lunatic that he was, but rest-assured, Stone will find a way.

Stone’s statements on the Holocaust, Jewish control of the media, and Israel are all deplorable. There is no way to justify claiming that the killing 6 million Jews can be overstated. Oliver Stone’s belief that the organized attempt to eradicate a people from the planet is not all that important in comparison to the rest of the War reveals the sick thoughts that go through his mind. The ‘Holocaust industry’ talking point come strait out of the viciously anti-Semitic Muslim world. Perhaps Stone is immersing himself in the works of Hitler in preparation for his upcoming documentary, as the claim that Jews control the media was an accusation used by the Third Reich. And of course, not anti-Semitic diatribe would be complete without a shot at the ‘all-powerful’ and subversive ‘Israel Lobby.’ Oliver Stone is a crackpot, anti-American, anti-Semitic conspiracy huckster. If the Jews really do control the media, shouldn’t his career be over?
