The day started well – Andrew and I were informed that our presence outside of the auditorium was forbidden, as the very sight of us would “incite a riot.” However, to give credit where it is due, the event went very smoothly, and a great deal of thanks is owed to the great security team and (mostly) respectful students.

I was appreciative that most of the students were respectful and restrained.
Ezra did much, I think, to defuse the inclination to react abusively in his calm appeal to reason by reminding all that if freedom of speech is not for the Right it is not for the Left either. Although many people were left fuming I happen to know that at least some will dig in and start looking for ways to challenge things Coulter said-which can only lead to more intelligent and open debate. Well done all of you who organized this event.
