Well, the day has come, and in a few short hours Ann will be starting her Canadian tour. Andrew has written about the opposition to Ann in Ottawa. Now a group of “concerned citizens” is whining about Ann’s speech in London, Ontario. They accuse some woman named “Anne Coulter” of “hateful, nonsensical, and blatantly false qualities.” Here’s an idea for mind-numbed university students that have been fed non-stop, unadulterated leftists claptrap their whole lives – maybe you should read ANN Coulter’s books and columns before you make up your minds. Perhaps you should hear what she has to say – it will likely be the first (and only) time you hear a conservative opinion in your time at school. Spelling may seem trivial, but it is just another example of how universities do not teach people how to think, they teach students what to think. These “concerned citizens” have no idea who Ann Coulter is. What they do know is that she is a conservative and that all conservatives possess “hateful, nonsensical, and blatantly false qualities.” These knee-jerk reactions are devoid of any serious thought and are sad. I am a student at the University of Ottawa. I identify as very left wing and I cannot even tell you how many times I have been fed right wing crap and I can attest that right wing propoganda is a lot more at the U of O than left wing info. So I have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you should attend the university before you make these claims that you cannot even back up.
I’m an American, and I can’t stand conservative nutcases and liberal nutcases. I have spent a long time watching television and reading the newspapers and have thought long and hard about where the bias really lays. In my opinion (minor and inconsequential that it may be), the bias is overwhelmingly and astoundingly LIBERAL on television and in print. On the radio, I have only found ONE conservative station. The rest are LIBERAL. I can’t understand how reasonably intelligent people can’t see this.
In terms of pundits and talking heads, I love Ann Coulter. She’s lovely, and articulate, and has a biting wit that I find irresistible. This doesn’t mean that I drink her Kool-Aid, it just means that I love to hear her speak and am thoroughly entertained by her. That, and I can’t help being mesmerized by her beauty.
I am also thoroughly entertained whenever folks get angry about somebody else’s opinion. It seems that BOTH sides of the political spectrum have among their numbers those that react far too strongly to differences of opinion, and in some of those instances, it can lead to violence. The right-wingers attack abortion doctors and the left-wingers attack right-wingers. Anyone of them from either side that claims THEIR side is utterly free of wrong-doing immediately classifies them (in my mind) as a dolt of the highest order of magnitude.
Those of you that can’t see reality and allow a university or religion to cloud your vision and judgment will prove to be the downfall of civilized society. Those of us (shockingly few) that CAN see what’s really going on will have to be content to sit back and laugh uproariously at all of you small-minded fools. Wave your flags (or burn them), chant, trample, set things on fire, break glass and bloody your fellow man (and woman); I shall be over here, blotting the tears from my eyes.
